Whenever an electrician does electrical work, they must use the correct tools to get the job done. Electricians use several basic hand tools, power tools and testing equipment to do  electric work in houses and businesses. Tools have been improved through the years and new tools have been developed. This can make a electricians tool list grow even longer. There are some must have tools for an electrician that they use every day and can’t do without. These tools are used daily and are very useful for an electrician to carry with them. These tools can be pliers, wire strippers, measuring devices, screwdrivers and nut drivers, power saws, power drills and drivers, hammer and drills, labeling machines and fishing tools.

Every electrician needs several basic hand tools to work with each day. Side cutting pliers as well as needle nose pliers usually are two of the most popular tools that the electrician cannot do without. Screwdrivers and nut drivers are required by electricians to work with various fasteners and applications. Wire strippers are quite handy for an electrician to carry with them. You can use them to strip electrical wires and can actually be important for electricians. Fish tapes are used for working around live circuits and for everyday use of long and short runs. Labeling devices are used by electricians to properly label their work at installation. This saves time for an electrician being able to tag items. Electricians use compact smaller power equipment. They are less hazardous and easier tools to use.  One of the most used power tools for a electrician are saws and drills. Every electrician used drills when carrying out their work. The kind of drill required depends on the job being carried out. And the material you are likely to be using the drill on. Saws are another tool that electricians use on a normal basis.

Just like drills the kind of power saw you need will almost certainly depend on the job that you are performing. Reciprocating saws have become well-liked since they’re handheld and simple to use. Spiral saws are also used and are a lot like reciprocating saws in the tasks that they perform.

Other types of saws used for electrical work can be cut off saws, portable band saws and hole saws. Tools have come a long way in the last few years. They’re designed better and offer a more comfortable feel and grip to the individual using them. They tend to be light and portable but equally effective as before. They’re cordless and more convenient to use in all kinds of places. They make the job of an electrician and other experienced workers simpler to do each day. Electricians couldn’t do with out their tools. The tools that an electrician uses every day will help them to carry out their job duties rapidly, safely and more efficiently.
